PCG runs over 2,800 schools in Ghana

Updated information on the number of schools administered by the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) confirm its position as one of the largest non‑governmental educational providers in the country, with more than 2,800 schools operating under its supervision, according to the Director Education and General Manager of Schools, Mr. Daniel Yeboah Heinno.

The number include over a thousand kindergartens and primary schools, hundreds of junior high schools, several senior high and technical institutions, four TVET centres, five Colleges of Education and two tertiary institutions.

Speaking at the third session of the PCG Connect series at Church House, Osu in Accra on Tuesday, the Director of Education stated that the new statistics reflect the PCG’s long‑standing commitment to expanding access to quality education in both urban and rural communities.

He noted that the church’s schools continue to produce disciplined, morally upright and academically excellent students who contribute significantly to national development.

With a presence in nearly every district, Mr. Heinno pointed out that, the PCG’s educational footprint remains one of the most influential in Ghana’s history, demonstrating the church’s unwavering dedication to nurturing future leaders and strengthening the nation’s human resource base.
