The Department of Administration and Human Resource Management (AHRM) has outlined its critical role in the life and mission of the church during episode 4 of PCG Connect, aired live on PCG TV on Tuesday.

Led by the Director, Rev. George Obeng‑Agyei, the department used the platform to highlight its mandate as the central administrative pivot of the church, supporting all levels and units of the PCG. The presentation acknowledged past directors whose leadership shaped the department, including Rev. Dr. N. T. Clerk, Rev. Dr. Erasmus Odonkor, and Mr. Festus Ohene Kwafo.

The AHRM department’s scope of work spans human resource management, property and logistics, ICT, legal services, protocol and registry, media and publicity, planning, policy development, and compliance. Rev. Obeng‑Agyei stated that the department’s work touches “people, properties, information, structures, and systems,” making it indispensable to the church’s mission.

The episode also introduced the heads of the department’s six units: Mrs. Lydia Annan‑Nai (HR), Rev. Patrick N. O. Armah (Property), Enoch Narteh (ICT), Jerome Otchere (PRO), Richard Dua‑Ansah, Esq. (Legal), and Festus Akrofi Asiedu (Protocol).

The department further outlined its constitutional alignment with key committees and courts of the church, including the General Assembly, Presbytery Sessions, District Sessions, and Congregational Sessions. It also highlighted its support to PCG institutions such as training centres, health facilities, schools, and business entities.

The presentation ended with a call for improved appreciation of administrative work across the church, noting challenges such as poor documentation, over‑spiritualisation of administrative issues, and weak institutional memory. The department reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening systems that support effective mission delivery.
