The Presbyterian Church of Ghana will this weekend host a national training seminar for Presbytery Public Relations Officers as part of efforts to strengthen strategic communication across the church.

The three‑day programme, scheduled for Friday, 19th to Sunday, 21st June 2026, will take place at the Presbyterian Women’s Centre, Abokobi. Organised by the Department of Administration and Human Resource Management (AHRM), the seminar is themed “Celebrating Our Heritage: Building on the Foundation Already Laid (1 Cor. 3:11) – Strategic Church Communications and Public Relations.”

The event aims to equip PROs with modern communication skills, digital tools, and strategic approaches needed to enhance the church’s public engagement and visibility.

Participants will receive training from a team of seasoned facilitators, including Maximus Ametorgoh, a digital transformation expert and social media coach, who will lead the main sessions. Other speakers include Director of AHRM, Rev. George Obeng‑Agyei, Esq.; National PRO of the PCG, Mr. Jerome Otchere, and the Asante Presbytery PRO, Rev. Bernard Gyimah Antwi.

The seminar will focus on strengthening the communication capacity of PROs, improving storytelling across the church, enhancing digital presence, and ensuring consistent messaging that reflects the heritage and mission of the PCG.

The training forms part of a broader effort to build a more coordinated, professional, and impactful communication system across all Presbyteries. The church anticipates that the seminar will empower PROs to better project the PCG’s witness, deepen engagement with congregations and the public, and support the church’s mission in an increasingly digital world.
