The first phase of the new studio project for PCG TV has been dedicated, marking a major development in the church’s efforts to enhance its broadcast and production capacity.

The dedication ceremony was officiated by the Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, and signifies the beginning of full operations from the newly completed studio. The Moderator was assisted by the Director for Ecumenical and Social Relations, Rev. Andrew Odjawo.

The Moderator commended the management and staff of PCG TV for their dedication and encouraged them to continue working diligently to advance the church’s media mission. The General Manager of PCG TV, Mr. Daniel Pabby, described the development as a major step forward in the station’s growth.

He explained that the studio project is being executed in three phases, with Phase One now completed and ready for use. The new facility is expected to significantly improve production quality, sound output, and the overall viewing experience for audiences.

“For some time now, we have been operating without a dedicated studio. Recordings were done in our conference room, which came with a number of challenges. The completion of Phase One gives us a proper production space and positions us to improve the quality of our content,” he said.

Mr. Pabby noted that work on Phase Two is expected to begin toward the end of the year and continue into 2027. This next stage will involve procuring additional equipment and technology to further strengthen the station’s production capacity. He added that the investment forms part of a broader strategy to expand programming and improve service delivery to viewers.

One of the key benefits of the new studio, he explained, is the ability to produce more original content and reduce programme repetitions that were previously unavoidable due to limited recording opportunities.

“With a dedicated studio that can support continuous production, we will be able to record more programmes, introduce new content, and provide our viewers with a richer and more engaging viewing experience,” he stated.

Mr. Pabby expressed appreciation to the leadership of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, stakeholders, and viewers for their continuous support throughout the project. PCG TV reaffirmed its commitment to delivering quality programming and innovative content as it enters a new phase of growth and development.
