The Presbyterian Health Centre, Abasua, in the Sekyere Presbytery has received a new motorbike to enhance its operations and strengthen healthcare delivery in the Abasua–Atwea area. The Apsonic AP125 Strong Motorbike was donated by the General Assembly Office of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana through the Department of Development and Social Services (DSS), under the leadership of the Director, Mrs. Rebecca Teiko Sarbah.

Presenting the motorbike on behalf of the Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt. Rev. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, and the Clerk of the General Assembly, Rev. David Aboagye‑Danquah, the Chairperson of the Sekyere Presbytery, Rev. Sam Foster Kwakye, urged the facility’s management to ensure proper maintenance and to use the motorbike strictly for its intended purpose. He commended the Health Centre for its dedicated service as the primary healthcare provider in the Abasua and Atwea communities and pledged the continued support of the Church.

The donation is expected to significantly improve the mobility and outreach capacity of the Health Centre—currently the only Presbyterian health facility in the Sekyere Presbytery—enabling staff to deliver quality healthcare more efficiently to surrounding communities.

Leadership of the Health Centre, represented by Mad. Grace Akabati (Nurse‑in‑Charge), Mr. Eric Amankwaa, and Mad. Susana Sarkodie, expressed profound gratitude to the General Assembly, the DSS Department, and all stakeholders whose support made the donation possible. They described the motorbike as a timely intervention that will greatly enhance community health services.
