Your support has been immense – Moderator
Moderator thanks Ga West Presbytery as pastoral visit starts
The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, has expressed profound appreciation to the Ga West Presbytery for what he described as their unwavering support for his administration.
He made the remarks as he began a weeklong pastoral visit to the Presbytery, one of the youngest in the church. Addressing ministers, presbyters, and congregants, the Moderator commended the leadership of Ga West for their dedication, unity, and commitment to God and the church. He noted that although the Presbytery is relatively young, it has shown maturity, strength, and remarkable organisational capacity in its affairs.
The Moderator explained that as part of his pastoral engagements, he has made it a priority to visit Presbyteries whose Chairpersons are completing their terms of office. He added, however, that he has also visited some Presbyteries whose leaders are not exiting, emphasising his desire to strengthen fellowship and deepen pastoral presence.
This year, six Presbytery Chairpersons are expected to conclude their tenure. The Moderator paid special tribute to the Ga West Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Enoch Adjei Pobee, describing his leadership as exemplary and deeply supportive of the vision of the church. He also commended the Lay Representative to the General Assembly Council (GAC), Mrs. Adwoa Ofosua Annor Boakye and other officers of the Presbytery for working with distinction.
He reiterated that the support of the Presbytery has been wholehearted and consistent, contributing significantly to the smooth execution of the church’s agenda. “Your support has been immense,” he said, assuring the Presbytery of his continued partnership.
The Moderator’s visit forms part of his broader pastoral responsibility to strengthen relationships, encourage ministers, and affirm the work of Presbyteries.
