2026 ordination services set across Presbyteries
The Presbyterian Church of Ghana will hold a series of solemn and celebratory ordination services across selected Presbyteries as part of the 2026 ministerial formation calendar.
The services to be officiated by the Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, will formally usher new ministers into ordained ministry of in the church.
The ordination services have been scheduled in batches across four Presbyteries. That of North America/Australia Presbytery, being Batch One has already taken place in April. Batch 2 will be held on Sunday, 5th July 2026, at the Peyer Memorial Congregation, Bantama, under the Asante Presbytery. Batch 3 follows on Wednesday, 8th July 2026, at the Ascension Congregation, Oda, within the West Akyem Presbytery.
The third service, Batch 4, is scheduled for Sunday, 12th July 2026, at the Salvation Congregation, Mile 7, under the GA West Presbytery. The final gathering, Batch 5, will take place on Wednesday, 15th July 2026, at the Ebenezer Congregation, Kyebi, in the Akyem Abuakwa Presbytery. All services begin at 9:00 a.m.
The ordination services will be broadcast live on PCG TV, allowing members worldwide to join in prayer and support for the candidates being ordained. The 2026 ordination services mark another significant step in strengthening ministerial leadership within the church, affirming the PCG’s commitment to nurturing ministers for faithful service.
