Mid-year musical concert to open with joyful praise
Joy will take centre stage on Friday, 3rd July 2026, as the Presbyterian Church of Ghana prepares to usher worshippers into an evening of melody, gratitude, and spirited celebration at the Victory Congregation, Fafraha.
The Department of Church Life and Nurture’s Mid‑Year Thanksgiving Musical Concert promises a vibrant fusion of worship and entertainment, setting the tone for a night where thanksgiving is expressed not only in words but in song, rhythm, and heartfelt praise.
From the first notes of the Victory Church Choir, the programme is expected to unfold like a well‑crafted symphony — opening with prayer, followed by a stirring exhortation on the theme, and building steadily into a full musical experience.
The heart of the concert will beat strongest in its dual sessions of Songs of Praise and Dance, featuring celebrated gospel artistes including ACP Kofi Sarpong, Ama Glow, Kesewa Kessy, and Christian Arko. Their performances are anticipated to lift spirits, move feet, and remind worshippers of the joy that flows from collective thanksgiving.
With the Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, delivering a special address, the evening will blend institutional dignity with vibrant musical expression. The Victory Voices and Singing Band will add their own colours to the night, weaving a rich tapestry of sound from start to finish.
Entry is free, and the concert will be broadcast live on PCG TV, extending the celebration to homes across the world. Supported by a host of sponsors and media partners, the Mid‑Year Thanksgiving Musical Concert stands poised to be a joyful highlight of the Bicentennial Anniversary/Kutunse Fundraising activities — a night where worship meets artistry, and gratitude becomes a shared song.
