The Clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev. David Aboagye‑Danquah, has expressed profound gratitude to both outgoing and newly elected leaders of the church, praising their dedication, service and commitment in his report to the 26th General Assembly at the Ramseyer Training Centre, Abetifi–Kwahu.
He announced that seven newly elected Presbytery Chairpersons and five newly elected Lay Representatives have joined the General Assembly Council (GAC), following the completion of tenure by outgoing members. The new Chairpersons are:
- Rev. Wilberforce Takyi – Brong Ahafo Presbytery
- Rev. Nana Osei Owusu Fosu – Central Presbytery
- Rev. Gideon Buernor Puplampu – Dangme‑Tongu Presbytery
- Rev. David Sowateye Obli – Ga West Presbytery
- Rev. Charles Baah‑Ankrah – West Akyem Presbytery
- Rev. Ebenezer Agyei‑Misah – Western Presbytery
- Rev. Bright Agyekum Kobeah – Asante Akyem Presbytery
The newly elected Lay Representatives to the GAC are:
- Dr. Daniel Kusi Antwi – Brong Ahafo Presbytery
- Catechist William Asiama‑Bekoe – Europe Presbytery
- Catechist Smart Owusu‑Aduomi – North America Australia Presbytery
- Her Worship Rtd. Vivian Yamusah Lariba – Northern Presbytery
- Mr. Daniel Nyarko Debrah – West Akyem Presbytery
Rev. Aboagye‑Danquah said the GAC “warmly welcomes” the new members and looks forward to the wisdom, energy and commitment they will bring to the leadership of the Church. He also expressed heartfelt appreciation to eight outgoing Presbytery Clerks, whose tenure ends this year:

- Rev. Albert Baffoe Koomson – Central Presbytery
- Rev. Sophia Ogerkuor Kitcher – Dangme‑Tongu Presbytery

He commended their “dedicated service, faithful stewardship and administrative excellence,” praying God’s guidance for them in their future ministries. The Clerk then introduced the newly elected Presbytery Clerks, who will assume office from 1st September 2026:

He congratulated them and prayed for “God’s wisdom, grace and strength” as they take up their new responsibilities. Rev. Aboagye‑Danquah further acknowledged twelve outgoing members of the General Assembly Council, whose tenure ends in August 2026. The outgoing Chairpersons are:

The Clerk praised their “wealth of experience, wisdom and invaluable contributions,” noting that their service enriched deliberations and strengthened the Council’s work. He said the Moderator will lead the Assembly in honouring them with citations and tokens of appreciation.
