The Department of Development and Social Services (DSS) will be the first to feature in the newly launched ‘PCG Connect’ programme, beginning on Tuesday, 24th March 2026. The initiative, introduced by the church, is designed to strengthen communication, fellowship, and engagement across the church through structured media sessions.
‘PCG Connect’ was officially launched at the Church House, Osu, last week. It will run monthly on PCGTV and the church’s social media platforms, offering a “townhall-style” interface between the church’s departments, members, the media, and the wider public.
Each department will present updates on their work, share progress, highlight key initiatives, and discuss challenges and opportunities. The church community and the general public has since welcomed the initiative with congregants waiting for the first session.
Following DSS’s session in March, the programme will continue with the Department of Mission and Evangelism in April, the Department of Education in May, and the Department of Administration and Human Resource Management in June. Other departments, including Church Life and Nurture, Ecumenical and Social Relations, and Finance, will follow in subsequent months.
A special session in August will focus on the aftermath of the General Assembly, while November will highlight the Office of the Clerk of the General Assembly. In a circular to Presbytery Chairpersons, Clerk of the General Assembly, Rev. David Aboagye-Danquah, urged ministers, sessions, and congregational leaders to actively promote the programme and mobilise members to participate online.
“PCG Connect’ is a strategic programme that will make the church’s work more visible, transparent, and engaging,” the Clerk noted, stressing the importance of participation across all congregations.
