Moderator ends three-day visit of the Dangme-Tongu Presbytery.
The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Prof. Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante, has ended a three-day working visit to the Dangme-Tongu Presbytery.
The purpose of the visit was to acquaint himself with the life of the Church in the face of COVID-19 pandemic.
The Moderator at separate meetings at Odumase Krobo and Kaseh-Ada met the Council, Agents of the Church, group leaders and Ministers spouses which formed part of his visit.
The first day of the Moderator’s visit to the Presbytery on Tuesday 6th October 2020; he met with all Agents and Council members within the Central and Upper Zones of the Presbytery at the Zimmerman Chapel. The Moderator had a cordial interaction with the people. He later continued his visit to the Bana Hill Retreat & Prayer Center to acquaint himself with the activities taking place there.
The Moderator inspected the water project and the road rehabilitation work which is ongoing. He also inspected other facilities at the Center and had a fruitful discussion with the Presbytery Standing Committee members concerning the upgrading of the facilities to meet the new role that the Centre is poised to play.
The following day, Wednesday 7th October 2020, the Moderator continued to the Southern Zone of the Presbytery with a visit to Kasseh-Ada to meet with all Agents and other Council members within the Zone.
Addressing the people the moderator expressed his appreciation to agents of the Church in the Presbytery for keeping the Church united and intact in the face of COVID-19.
He said the outbreak of COVID-19 had created lots of challenges for the Church therefore some activities which were planned to be executed during the year would delay but will not be derailed.
The Moderator climaxed his visit with a church Service at Huhunya in the Nkurakan District on Sunday 11th September 2020.
