The 2022 Annual Ministers Conference of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) is underway at the School of Business auditorium of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi.
The conference which started on Tuesday 4th January 2022 ends on Thursday 7th January 2022.
This year’s conference which is under the theme; “Service and submission as the nature and authority of our ministry” has attracted over one thousand Ministers of the Church from all the 21 Presbyteries both home and abroad.
Opening the conference on Wednesday, the National President of the Ministers Conference, Rev Dr. Ayitey Mensah urged Ministers of the Church to be interested in their old age and support initiatives that sought to bring better pension schemes.
Touching on the theme of the conference he said if ministers would submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, there would be no problem submitting to one another in the fear of God. The national president also admonished ministers of the church to submit to the authority of Jesus Christ and the spiritual dictatorship of the Holy Spirit.
Rev Dr Ayitey Mensah said Ghanaians must give thanks unto the Lord for ensuring peace in the nation, adding that the peace the country was enjoying should not be taken for granted.
The church should continuously pray to God to foster unity among the people and to grant stability, ethnic co-existence and the heart to tolerate each other in the country.
