Asante Presbytery NOP donates motorbike to Northern Presbytery
The Asante Presbytery Northern Outreach Programme (NOP) has presented a brand‑new motorbike to the Northern Presbytery to support evangelism and pastoral work.
The presentation marks a significant moment in the Asante Presbytery’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the church’s presence in the Northern and Upper Presbyteries. It was as part of the church’s “Operation Go Back Home and Tell” which is organised by the church every two years for the NOP to go back to the north and tell their story of being saved by Christ and to use their story to reach out to other back home.
For the past two years, the NOP has been actively engaged in outreach activities, focusing on evangelism and discipleship in these regions. Coordinator of the Asante Presbytery NOP, Rev. Zakaria Braimah, explained that the motorbike was donated to facilitate mobility for ministers and evangelists working in the Northern Presbytery.
He noted that the vast distances and challenging terrain in the area often make pastoral work difficult, and the motorbike will serve as a practical tool to reach communities more effectively with the gospel.
“This support is meant to strengthen evangelism in the Northern Presbytery. We want to ensure that ministers and agents can move easily to remote congregations and mission stations, bringing the Word of God to places that are otherwise hard to reach,” Rev. Braimah said.
The Northern Presbytery expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful. They stated that the motorbike will not only ease transportation challenges but also enhance the effectiveness of outreach programmes.
