Shaped by Service – Profile of Rev. Nana Osei Owusu Fosu
The Chairperson‑elect of the Central Presbytery, Rev. Nana Osei Owusu Fosu, is a seasoned minister whose 21‑year journey in ordained ministry reflects deep commitment, administrative strength, and a passion for nurturing the church’s mission.
Born in Kumasi and hailing from Abease in the Bono East Region, Rev. Owusu Fosu has built an impressive academic and ministerial foundation. His educational path spans the Catholic University College of Ghana, University of Cape Coast, Trinity Theological Seminary, University of Ghana, Legon, and two renowned secondary institutions—Acherensua Secondary School and Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Secondary School, Asante Bekwai.
Commissioned in 2005, he has served in multiple congregations and districts, beginning as the first Resident Minister at Emmanuel Congregation, Asante Juaben. His ministerial journey has taken him through Akweley‑Kasoa, Agona Swedru, Winneba, and most recently Breman Asikuma, where he serves as District Minister.
Beyond congregational leadership, Rev. Owusu Fosu has held numerous presbytery‑level roles that demonstrate his administrative depth. These include Presbytery Clerk, Director of Church Life and Nurture, Acting Director of Mission and Evangelism, Young Adult Fellowship Chaplain, Recorder, and Vice‑President of the Central Presbytery Ministers’ Fellowship.
He has chaired and convened several committees, including the Editorial Committee responsible for the Presbytery Calendar, Translated Almanac, and the newsletter The Angelos. His influence extends beyond the PCG, having served as Vice Chairman and later Chairman of the Agona Swedru Local Council of Churches, and as team leader for an international exchange programme in Germany.
Rev. Owusu Fosu is married to Mrs. Vida Fosu, and they are blessed with four children: Henry, Wilfred, Amanda, and Emmanuel. The Central Presbytery congratulates him warmly, praying that God will use him mightily in the years ahead. He will officially assume office on 1st September 2026.
