Pavilion Project: Upper Presbytery supports Bongo Zorko District
The Upper Presbytery has extended significant support to the Bongo‑Zorko District as part of its ongoing Pavilion Project, aimed at strengthening worship infrastructure across all districts within the Presbytery.
During the thanksgiving service of the 16th Presbytery Session held at the Christ Congregation in Sandema, the Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Roger A. Wegurih, presented a cheque for GHS10,000 to the District Minister, Rev. Ebenezer Asiedu. The amount represents proceeds from the inaugural GHS1‑Pavilion Project fundraising initiative launched earlier during the Session.
The Pavilion Project is a strategic intervention by the Upper Presbytery to support districts—especially those in deprived or developing areas—to construct pavilions that will serve as worship centres, meeting spaces, and community hubs.
The initiative encourages every member to contribute at least one Ghana cedi, demonstrating collective responsibility and shared commitment to the growth of the church. Receiving the cheque on behalf of the district, Rev. Asiedu expressed profound gratitude to the Presbytery for the timely support.
He noted that the pavilion will greatly enhance congregational life and provide a more conducive space for worship and ministry activities in the Bongo‑Zorko area. The presentation formed part of the highlights of the thanksgiving service, which celebrated unity, generosity, and the Presbytery’s dedication to strengthening its districts through practical, impactful projects.
