The General Secretary of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), Apostle Immanuel Tettey, has encouraged the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) to hold firmly to its long‑standing traditions of building schools, hospitals, and promoting discipline in society.

Speaking during an interaction with the Clerk of the General Assembly, Rev. David Aboagye‑Danquah, at the GPCC Secretariat in East Legon, Accra, Apostle Tettey praised the PCG for its historic contribution to national development. He noted that the church’s legacy of education, healthcare, and social discipline has shaped Ghana in many ways.

“The impact of your traditions has helped shape Ghana,” he said. “I pray that PCG members will value their rich heritage and how God has used the Church to bless this nation.” Apostle Tettey urged the PCG not to abandon its long‑held practices of community service, describing the church’s educational tradition as “second to none.”

In response, Rev. Aboagye‑Danquah explained that his visit was a fraternal one aimed at strengthening relationships with the administrative offices of sister churches. He shared the PCG’s upcoming bicentennial celebration and presented Apostle Tettey with a commemorative 200th‑anniversary Bible and cloth.

“There should be more collaboration,” Rev. Aboagye‑Danquah said. “We are happy that you received us, and we are grateful for the warm reception.”

The Clerk was accompanied by the Director of Ecumenical and Social Relations, Rev. Andrew Odjawu; Personal Assistant to the Clerk, Rev. Eugene Duodu; and the Public Relations Officer, Jerome Otchere.

Apostle Tettey was supported by the GPCC Operations Manager, Mrs. Mawufemor Aninkora, and the Finance Manager, Mrs. Lydia Amponsah Boateng, in receiving the PCG delegation.
