The Chief of Akyem Teshieman in the West Akyem Presbytery, Nana Okuambre Achiampong II, has restated his unwavering faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, declaring boldly that the stool he occupies is “a Christian stool.”

He made this profound statement during a service held to herald the dedication of a newly completed manse at Teshieman, on the third day of the Moderator’s pastoral visit to the West Akyem Presbytery.

In his address, the chief explained that although he serves as a traditional leader, he remains guided by Christian principles and refuses to participate in practices that contradict his faith. “I am a chief, but the stool I sit on is a Christian stool,” he said, stressing that his leadership is rooted in Christ and shaped by the values of the Presbyterian tradition.

Nana Okuambre Achiampong II expressed deep gratitude to the Moderator, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare‑Kwakye, for visiting Teshieman and dedicating the manse, which was constructed by the chief. The Moderator, in turn, thanked the chief for his longstanding support to the Presbyterian Church of Ghana and for consistently opening his community to the work of the gospel.

The Moderator subsequently dedicated the manse, which was completed in 2017 but remained unused due to the absence of a resident minister. With the posting of Rev. Daniel Abekah to Teshieman, the facility has now been commissioned for full use.

The Moderator urged the congregation to ensure proper maintenance of the manse so that it may serve generations of ministers to come.
