Kutunse Project: Moderator calls for more support
The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare‑Kwakye, has renewed his call to all Presbyterians, home and abroad, to give their full support to the ongoing Kutunse Project, the church’s flagship conference centre currently under construction.
Preaching on the final day of his pastoral visit to the West Akyem Presbytery, the Moderator described the project as a collective inheritance. He stressed that although he is leading the charge to ensure its completion, the Kutunse Project does not belong to him as an individual but to the entire Presbyterian of Church of Ghana family.
“We have to support the project,” he urged passionately, reminding members that the vision can only be realised through shared commitment and sacrificial giving. He stated that every Presbyterian has a role to play in bringing the project to completion.
The Moderator disclosed that reports received from the Clerk of the General Assembly following his recent inspection visit indicate that construction is progressing steadily. Notably, the 1,600‑seater main conference auditorium is now approaching the roofing stage, a major milestone that signals the project’s advancement into its next phase.
The Moderator described this progress as a testament to what the church can achieve when its members unite behind a common purpose. “We have to complete it to the glory of God,” he declared, calling on congregations, districts, presbyteries, groups, families, and individuals to continue giving generously and consistently.
