Ga Presbytery makes huge media investment

The Ga Presbytery has made a significant move to strengthen its digital evangelism and communication capacity with a GHS 103,200 investment in modern media and broadcasting equipment. The initiative marks a major boost to the work of the newly established Media and Public Relations Unit, positioning the Presbytery for more effective ministry in today’s digital landscape.

The equipment was officially unveiled this week during the Mission and Church Growth Consultation held at the Bethlehem Congregation, Tsuibleoo–Teshie. The outdooring ceremony signalled the Presbytery’s renewed commitment to excellence in digital outreach, storytelling and ministry communication.

The new tools include professional‑grade cameras, lenses, audio systems, wireless transmitters, mobile devices and production accessories, all carefully selected to enhance photography, videography, live streaming and field reporting across the Presbytery.

Among the notable acquisitions are the Canon EOS R6 Mark II, Canon XA60 4K camcorders, a Canon 70–200mm F2.8 lens, an AVMatrix video switcher, an iPhone 16 Pro Max, Accsoon wireless transmitters, Godox lighting equipment, V‑Mount battery systems, and professional microphone kits from Hollyland and Comica.

This investment reflects the Presbytery’s growing recognition that media ministry has become central to evangelism and discipleship. In recent years, churches across Ghana have increasingly embraced digital platforms as vital tools for outreach, with many people—especially the youth—encountering sermons, devotionals and church content online before stepping into a physical sanctuary.

The COVID‑19 period accelerated this shift, demonstrating that ministry can extend beyond church buildings into homes, workplaces and digital communities. The Ga Presbytery’s initiative is therefore more than the acquisition of equipment; it is a strategic response to changing patterns of communication and mission.

The Presbytery leadership, particularly the Chairperson, Rev. Col. David Adoteye‑Asare, has been commended for the foresight and commitment that made this investment possible. Their leadership reflects a clear understanding that fulfilling the Great Commission today requires combining biblical faithfulness with technological relevance.

The Media and Public Relations Committee expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in the Unit and reaffirmed its commitment to using the resources responsibly to project the mission, programmes and witness of the church.

The Unit noted that the investment will significantly enhance the Presbytery’s vision of holistic evangelism, discipleship and social transformation. Plans are already underway to establish a fully functional Presbytery media studio to support audio and video content production, further strengthening the Ga Presbytery’s digital presence and ministry impact.
