The Director of Mission and Evangelism has set out a bold vision with discipleship and evangelism at the heart of the PCG’s growth agenda.

In his address at the National Evangelism and Church Growth Consultation at Abetifi, the Director of Mission and Evangelism, Rev. Dr. E. K. Sarbah, described the gathering as an excellent platform for leaders to reflect on their responsibilities and renew commitment to evangelism.

He explained that the consultation provides space for sharing evangelistic tasks, communicating visions, and exploring new strategies to spread the gospel in line with the Great Commission.

Coordinated through the Global Mission, Evangelism, and Specialised Ministry committees, the Mission and Evangelism Department continues to drive initiatives that strengthen the church’s outreach and growth, he stated.

Rev. Dr. E. K. Sarbah noted that past themes from 2020 to 2024 have laid a strong foundation for the current focus, “Celebrating Our Heritage: Building on the Foundation Laid Through Effective Discipleship.” He urged participants to embrace innovative approaches and remain steadfast in mobilising structures for sustainable growth, both in Ghana and beyond.

Looking ahead, he announced that in November 2026, presbyteries will once again be honoured for outstanding growth, following the recognition of Asante and West Brong Presbyteries in 2023.

Projections for 2026 include the implementation of a discipleship model across all congregations, a Trainer of Trainers workshop under the Agenda 2 Million initiative, and a national crusade in Kumasi. The church also plans to intensify evangelism and church planting, extending its mission into other African countries.

Rev. Dr. E. K. Sarbah expressed gratitude to the Principal Officers, the General Assembly Council, and the leadership of the 21 presbyteries whose dedication has positioned PCG as one of the fastest-growing denominations in Ghana.

He acknowledged the contributions of departmental committees and called for unity, faith, and enthusiasm, reminding the church that while leaders plant and nurture, it is ultimately God who grants the increase.
