Refrain from using social media to air grievances
The General Assembly Office of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) has renewed its call for members to avoid using social media as a platform for expressing grievances, urging adherence to the church’s established procedures for resolving concerns.
Representing the GAO at the Akuapem Presbytery Session in the Effiduase District, Koforidua, on Thursday, the Director of Development and Social Services, Mrs. Teiko Sabah, delivered the message on behalf of the church’s leadership. She encouraged presbyters, catechists, ministers, and all members to follow the proper internal channels when addressing issues.
“Members, Presbyters, and Agents are encouraged to channel all concerns through the Church’s laid‑down grievance procedures and refrain from addressing such matters on social media platforms,” she emphasized.
Mrs. Sabbah reminded the gathering that the PCG Constitution and Manual of Order provide clear grievance‑handling mechanisms designed to maintain order, discipline, and unity within the Church. She urged members to demonstrate commitment to Presbyterian values by resolving issues through these appropriate internal structures.
She further noted that the PCG remains open to listening, improving, and growing as a Reformed Church, but such growth must be pursued through the right processes.
