Watch your utterances as Christian women
The 31st Annual Conference and Thanksgiving Service of the Central Presbytery Women’s Fellowship has ended successfully, with a strong call on Christian women to watch their utterances, especially in difficult moments, and to remain prayerful and dependable builders in their homes, churches, and communities.
The three‑day Spirit‑filled and educative programme took place at Emmanuel Congregation, Kasoa, under the theme “Celebrating Our Heritage, Building on the Foundation Already Laid” (1 Corinthians 3:11) and the sub‑theme “Woman: A Dependable Builder” (Luke 6:46–49). Women were encouraged to emulate biblical figures such as Ruth, Naomi, Hannah, and Deborah, who demonstrated strength, prayerfulness, and godly character in challenging times.
Members from all fourteen districts of the Presbytery participated in the conference, which brought together leaders, facilitators, and guests from across the Church. Among the dignitaries present were Rev. Fiifi Foh Arkhurst, Chairperson of the Central Presbytery; Rev. Seth Owusu Agyekum, Presbytery CLAN Director; Rev. Richard Asumah, former Presbytery Clerk; Mrs. Comfort M. Awuku, National Women’s Fellowship Secretary; and Mrs. Betty Mintah Asomaning, President of the Central Presbytery Women’s Fellowship.
The conference featured worship, teaching sessions, prayer, fellowship, and a quiz competition that added excitement to the gathering. At the end of the contest, Kasoa North District emerged winners, followed by Kasoa South, with Winneba District placing third.
The Women’s Fellowship expressed gratitude to God for a successful conference and encouraged all participants to continue building on the foundation of faith, service, and godly character laid by generations of Christian women in the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.
