The Asante South Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) has held a retreat for its Departmental Heads, Coordinators, and Staff, marking the close of a year of dedicated service while preparing for the challenges and opportunities of 2026.
The retreat, held at the Presbytery Office, just before the Christmas break, brought together personnel central to the Presbytery’s operations. The programme was chaired by the Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Daniel Brobbey.
The agenda combined spiritual nourishment with practical discussions, fostering both personal reflection and collective planning. A crucial segment of reflections, guided by Rev. Brobbey, allowed participants to contemplate the year’s journey, achievements, and lessons learned.
Beyond spiritual exercises, the retreat provided a platform for operational planning. Rev. Brobbey led a session on General Discussions and Expectations for 2026, outlining key objectives and encouraging a shared vision among leadership and staff.
The retreat ended with a refreshment and socialisation segment, giving participants the opportunity to relax and strengthen collegial bonds. The retreat officially closed with a heartfelt prayer by Rev. Brobbey, reinforcing the spiritual foundation of collective work.
Following the retreat, the Asante South Presbytery Office announced its annual Christmas and New Year break. Staff and leadership will use this period to rest, celebrate the festive season with their families, and return refreshed to continue their mission in the new year.
