PCG Connect launched to strengthen media engagement
The Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) has officially launched PCG Connect, a new structured media engagement platform designed to deepen communication between the church, its members, the media, and the wider public.
The launch took place on Tuesday at the Church House, Osu, and was addressed by the Clerk of the General Assembly, Rev. David Aboagye-Danquah.
Rev. Aboagye-Danquah explained that PCG Connect was conceived to highlight the church’s spiritual, moral, social, and environmental witness, while ensuring transparency and accountability in its operations.
He noted that the initiative will provide a monthly “townhall” format where departments of the church present updates on their programmes, share progress, and discuss challenges and opportunities.
“The name PCG Connect itself captures this vision — a church that is connected to its members, connected to the public, connected to national development, and ultimately connected to its mission of serving God and humanity,” he said.
The sessions will be interactive, featuring moderated question and answer segments with both in-person and virtual participants, streamed live on PCG TV, social media platforms, and the church’s website. The first session is scheduled for Tuesday, 24th March 2026, and will continue every third Tuesday of the month.
Rev. Aboagye-Danquah outlined three key objectives: strengthening transparency and accountability, deepening engagement with members and stakeholders, and enhancing the church’s voice in national development. He expressed gratitude to the media for their partnership and stated that PCG Connect will foster dialogue, build trust, and inspire collaboration in addressing community needs.
