The Clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev. David Aboagye‑Danquah, has stressed that mission and evangelism remain the heartbeat of the church’s identity and growth. He made the remarks when he delivered the opening address at the second edition of PCG Connect, hosted by the Mission and Evangelism Department at the Church House, Osu, on Tuesday, 21st April 2026.

Welcoming directors, ministers, congregants, and media partners, the Clerk described PCG Connect as a vital platform designed to deepen transparency, strengthen engagement, and enhance the church’s interaction with the wider public.

He noted that the initiative, launched in March 2026, has already begun to enrich conversations around the Church’s work and mission. Rev. Aboagye‑Danquah emphasised that from its earliest beginnings, the PCG has been committed to reaching beyond its walls with the message of hope, salvation, and transformation.

He commended the Mission and Evangelism Department for its critical role in nurturing new congregations, equipping members for evangelism, and responding to the spiritual needs of the time. He further challenged every Presbyterian to embrace their calling as ambassadors of Christ, stressing that evangelism is not the responsibility of a select few but a shared mandate for all believers.

Consistent communication, he said, enables the church to grow effectively and remain impactful in its mission. The Clerk also expressed deep appreciation to the church’s media partners for amplifying PCG’s work and shaping public understanding of its mission. He encouraged greater participation in future editions of PCG Connect, expressing hope that the engagements would continue to inspire, inform, and energise the church’s collective witness.
