The Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG)’s contribution to the nation’s educational sector has come under renewed public attention as the church reaffirm its long‑standing commitment to quality, values‑based education at the third edition of PCG Connect, held on Tuesday 19th May 2026 and led by the Education Department.

Delivering an address on behalf of the Clerk of the General Assembly, Rev. David Aboagye‑Danquah, the Director of Administration and Human Resource Management, Rev. George Obeng Agyei, acknowledged the concerns being raised in sections of the public about the church’s current visibility and impact in Ghana’s educational landscape.

He noted that such questions make platforms like PCG Connect even more essential for public engagement. Rev. Obeng Agyei reminded participants that education has always been one of the foundational pillars of the Presbyterian mission.

He emphasised that the church has, for decades, contributed immensely to national development through the establishment and management of schools, the promotion of holistic learning, and the nurturing of disciplined, morally upright citizens.
