The creation of new districts must be diligent and sustainable. This was the message of the Clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), Rev. David Aboagye‑Danquah, as he concluded a two‑day administrative inspection of the proposed Daboase and Twifo Hemang Districts in the Western Presbytery.

The exercise, held from Wednesday, 29th April to Thursday, 30th April 2026, formed part of the church’s broader efforts to strengthen its administrative structures and assess the readiness of the two areas for district elevation.

Addressing the gathering, Rev. Aboagye‑Danquah expressed appreciation for the warm reception. He stressed that while the creation of new districts is essential for reducing administrative burdens and enhancing pastoral efficiency, careful assessment and due diligence are necessary to ensure that newly created districts do not struggle after elevation.

“The growth of the church necessitates these structures,” he said, “but they must be built on a solid and sustainable foundation.” The Clerk inspected records, facilities, and administrative systems at the Daboase Congregation before continuing the exercise at Twifo Hemang on Thursday.

The tour ended at the Ebenezer Congregation, where he again underscored the need for spiritual preparedness, logistical capacity, and strong leadership as prerequisites for district status. The Clerk was accompanied throughout the tour by the Western Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Dr. Apea Assamoah, and a host of other ministers.
